For My Sister

So, there were two reasons I didn't have time to blog yesterday.  The first reason is Abigail was feeling pretty puny again and was fairly clingy.  The second reason is because I am insane.  And the way my insanity manifested itself yesterday was this:  yesterday morning I made four dresses.  Yeah, you read that right.  I have four kids to watch, one of whom is sick, and I decided to make not one, not two, not three, but FOUR dresses!  Now, lest you think I have gone completely off the deep end, let me tell you a couple of things:  1)The pattern was incredibly easy - I loved it!  I used this pattern - it was the first time I've used a .pdf pattern and I can guarantee that I'll be doing it again - the instructions were beautiful and simple to follow.  Frog Legs and Ponytails has several more that I want to try out.  2)I got most of the work done before the girls even woke up, so I wasn't really doing too much multi-tasking  (I know, I know...if I'd been really together, I'd have had all four dresses completed before Cousin Camp even started, but hey, this is me we're talking about) and 3)I had a very specific reason for wanting to get the dresses finished yesterday.  Here would be the reason:

I knew I wanted to take beach pictures for my sister and brother-in-law of the girls this week and I knew I wanted to dress them in simple white dresses.  You try finding matching simple white dresses for sizes 3 through 8 that don't cost a small fortune and you'll see why I decided to make them.  I couldn't be happier with how they turned out.  And the photo session, well, let's just say I'm really happy with it, too!

Here are a few sneak peeks....
